We tried a little something new! Joining forces with Secret Sunrise Cape Town to host an innovative fundraiser combining dance, community cleanup, and storytelling. The mandate was to connect with one self, others and Mother Nature through dance and collective action on Hout Bay Beach.

The highlight was, of course, onboarding 118 new plastic pirates through partnerships with community-based organizations - Surfpop and IKhaya Le Themba. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Pick n Pay, we distributed copies of The Legend of Captain Fanplastic storybook to all the plastic pirates. In total we collected R17,000 for Captain Fanplastic, which enables us to raise 34 new Plastic Pirates with our school programme. � More...
