About
On Nelson Mandela Day, 18th July 2019, we partnered up with South Africa’s most iconic brand Lucky Star and facilitated the Captain Fanplastic programme to 169 learners at Kronendal Primary school
. The goal was to inspire the children to change their behaviour towards littering and educate them about what they can do to keep their environment clean.
After learning about the impact of plastic pollution and the value of plastic when it is recycled we headed off on a massive treasure hunt on Hout Bay beach. This was Captain Fanplastic’s biggest haul to date with 147.2 kg of ‘treasure’ being found. Welcome aboard Kronendal Primary
