Thanks to the generous support of SLR Consulting, the Captain Fanplastic crew brought the DIY Challenge Box Programme to St. Mary’s Primary School in Cape Town. The aim was to empower learners to be come ocean stewards, understand the impact of plastic pollution, and discover how they can protect our seas.

After enjoying storytelling and hands-on activities about SDG 14: Life Below Water, 87 Grade 4–6 little pirates headed off for a school clean-up. Together, they collected 4.7 kg of plastic waste, proving themselves worthy to join the Captain Fanplastic’s Crew.
